Going through any illness or surgery is stressful and anxiety provoking for any person. We all need to trust our medical practitioners and more often than not, they do an excellent job of healing, improving our quality of life and keeping us alive. Unfortunately from time to time they make mistakes with catastrophic consequences and we need them to take responsibility for this.

A psychological evaluation of any emotional trauma that is the result of this negligence actions is then indicated. The evaluation process is as follows:
• A Comprehensive clinical history is obtained
• Clinical impressions
• Psychometric evaluations consisting of:
• Test that indicate emotional and personality functioning
• Test that indicate the presence of any psychiatric disorder
• Test that indicate the person’s stress management.
• An interview or telephonic interview with someone in the person’s personal life that has known the person before and after the medical intervention.
