I qualified as a registered nurse and started off my career at Weskoppies Hospital in Pretoria, Gauteng. I obtained my Masters in Clinical Psychology in 1988, and started my private practice as a Clinical Psychologist in May 1989.

My practice consisted of clinical therapeutic work with both adults and children ranging from affective disorders, post-traumatic stress syndrome, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, psycho-medical problems and many other disorders.

Although I have always done assessments for court purposes since I started my practice in 1988 but the bulk of my psychological practice has been assessments for court purposes since 2010. I have done evaluations for court cases and have been testifying in Magistrate courts, Regional Courts and Higher Courts. There have been numerous settlements out of court on the strength of my reports.
